Many communities have been affected by natural disasters and climate change but the probability of their occurrence and the scope of their potential impact depends on communities’ vulnerability and their capacities and the most important aspect is it depends on how prepared they are.
In collaboration with governments, civil society and development partners, SIMEX expands its technical knowledge and expertise to make communities better prepared themselves and resilient to potential disasters. Communities will be sensitized on the disaster risk and its possible impact to the community and trained on vulnerability assessment, development of their preparedness and response plan and test their planning and capacity through simulation exercises and drills. They will also be supported on arranging the required resilience elements in coordination and collaboration with other agencies working in their Municipalities and empower them to access technical and financial resources to build their communities resilient. Community level youth volunteer squad will also be formed and given relevant training first aid and search and rescue in collaboration with government and other agencies.
It carries the notion of Early Warning for All with particular focus to ‘Preparedness to Respond’ and promotes anticipatory actions at all levels.
At SIMEX Hub, we customize our services to align with the unique needs, objectives, and cultural context of our clients, fostering resilience at both organizational and community levels
